Javier Valenzuela教授，西班牙穆爾西亞大學終身教授。主要研究方向為采用心理語言學和語①料庫實證研究方法對認知語言學語義研究，包括認知語◆言學、構式語法、隱喻、認知科學、多模態交際。Javier Valenzuela教授是西班牙認知語言學的開創人之一，也是西班牙認知語言學協會的創立人，並在2012-2016年期間擔任研究會主席。
講座內容簡介
The present talk will offer a brief review of the methodology known as “eye-tracking”. We will explain what eye-tracking is, how it works, what are the parameters that eye-trackers measure and how eye-tracking has been used in different disciplines.
We will then review with some more attention some of the most popular experimental paradigms that have used eye-tracking to study language. Finally, we will describe one specific study carried out with eye-tracking, explaining carefully how the different parameters measured by eye-tracking have been used to answer the research questions of the study.
